His career in England quickly moved from a junior position for Gilchrist Art Studios to art directing for Collins Publishing.

He was later recruited to the South Pacific island of Tahiti for 2 years, where he was responsible for all product development with focus on travel and tourism. He was involved in the design and launch of the first ever novel published in the Tahitian language which was publicized and recognized nationally and internationally. Tad developed a special rapport with local and international photographers, writers, artists and printers which was important in all aspects his work. What started as an emphasis on travel and tourist brochures, the company soon became a cultural hub of international authors of travel and tourism well known in the South Pacific. After the contract had ended, Tad decided it was time to move on and come back to Canada while squeezing in a few months of travel throughout Asia and Europe.
